EGYPT IS FULL OF DREAMS, MYSTERIES & MEMORIES
DISCOVER
The most southern part of the Egyptian landscape houses some of the most treasured and unique temples as well as a modern feat of engineering in the Aswan Dam. Abu Simbel, the monument and temple built by Ramses the Great to honor his most loved wife Nefertari is a Crown Jewel in the temple world. Saved from the rising waters caused by the building of the Aswan Dam, this monument stands four stories tall and features incredible works of engineering details to honor this ancient superpower couple. Unique in the fact that most of the temple is in extraordinarily good condition, having been located too far from Egyptian civilized life for following religions to find and deface.
In Aswan we find the Island of Philae and the Temple of Goddess Isis, the last working temple in Egypt. Learn of the role this Goddess of love, beauty and magic had in Egyptian history. Understand the stories upon the temple walls, helping us know the elements of nature and spirit that brought the greatest characters in ancient Egypt to life.
Visit an ancient granite quarry where some of Egypt’s most significant and unique structures were sourced. See an actual obelisk in the making, left behind because it was not perfect. You gain a greater appreciation for the stories and the history of the building of the temples, statues and structures that remain today to enthrall us and let us day dream about a time that once was.
